Tangerine provides the best overall mobile banking services in Canada as determined in the 2015 Surviscor Canadian Mobile Banking scorCard™, a comprehensive, objective annual assessment of mobile features and functionality at major Canadian banking institutions. Scotiabank advanced into second place while past winner National Bank of Canada dropped to third place.
The 2015 Mobile Banking scorCard™ was comprised of 2500 criteria points, up 1000 from 2013. The criteria is spread out over 5 main categories and includes 24 sub-categories. The comprehensive review looks at the features and functionality of retail consumer device choices, including Apple and Android smartphones and tablets and Blackberry smartphones.
Tangerine received the top ranking for the first time with an impressive margin over the rest of the firms. Scotiabank secured second place for all smartphone devices while National Bank of Canada secured second place for tablet devices.
